Style, or your particular way of making your art, is not something that you can ever lose. Style, or the “look” of your art is established through your preferences. In the beginning stages, an artist is involved with a tremendous amount of experimentation to learn and determine those preferences. Over time, the artist’s preferences start to repeat in their art to the point where others can see it. Preferences change over time as the artist develops, and this results in the look of their art changing too. Style becomes more apparent over time, especially if the artist stays true to what he/she prefers in the kind of art they are creating.
